I have been in Salt Lake all week. It was a last minute trip to visit our site there and meet some of the teams that support us. It was ice cold and snowing. Very strange for this time of the year. The only thing I like about travel is that you eat good. I was impressed by all the selections Utah had. They have built so much since the last time I was out there. I tried to visit some old mission buddies but I could not find the house. It was a half-hearted effort I will admit. I was tired and it was late when I went for a drive that night. I would not mind living in Utah. You can get some good house for your money. I'm not sure if I could hang with the material side of the city. I still get the vibe of "keeping up with the Jones" when I am out there.
Work is going good. It is the end of the quarter and this month has been crazy. K and I had our Birthdays a few weeks ago. We went to PF chang's and walked around a bit. It was nice to get away and talk.
I have the itch to get a ski boat right now. This itch comes and goes. I know for sure one day I will have one...but for now, I need to keep it real. My "real" itch is to buy a house or some land. For me, that will happen in the next year.
I have been on the bike 3x a week still. Not too bad for me. Today I rode up to the dirt-bike park. On the way there I came across a Buck with a huge rack. It was no more then 10 feet from me. I was a little scared I have to admit. It took one step towards me and then froze. I played it as calm as I could but inside I was twisted up in the game. I rode by it and looked back at it just standing in the road. I thought to take a picture of it, but I took my old cell phone with me that did not have a camara on it. I will keep that picture in my mind at least.
Anyway, I think I am going to go watch some Football. K is out at the womens confrence with Dena and I am here with the kidz. Peace out...and stay classy San Diego.

Life after Death
Well,
Now that the HHH is over, what do I do next?? Last year I went into hibernation and hung up the cleats. It was hard for me to get back out on the bike so I vowed not to let that happen again. SO lately I have been riding 3x a week...if that. I have gone out at least every Saturday for a 40+ and the week days have been filled with some spinning and what not. I kinda like keeping the legs fresh and I have committed to the C Creek Challenge in October. It is only a 62 miler and it is on my turf....so it should not be too bad. The Weather here is really nice. Last Saturday I went out in full leg gear. I don't mind the cold after a few miles under my belt.
I will continue to give updates on my biking adventures...but it will not be the same when I can't talk smack with my boys. So I think I will switch gears a bit and talk about life, Work and family......in no particular order.
Today was chill. We just sort-of hung out. It was Stake confrence and we both looked at each other and knew it would be a challenge to take the kids and sit in the back. So we opted out. Not the right thing to do...I know... I played Reagan and Briggs in "Harry Potter Uno". It was their first time and Reagan kicked our Butts. Briggs said he wanted to join Reagan's team later tonight as they Challenge Mom and I so he cna help Reagan beat us. Mom reminded Briggs that he just got beat 3x in a row by Reagan and it did not look like she needed the help.
Football season has started. It was good to see some games this weekend. ASU is 2-0 and they are in the top 25. I think if they beat Cal, they can move up some more. This big one will be USC. I also watched some Cardinals today against my old team...49ers. I was pretty impressed with the Cardnials. Neither team had a defense at all. Briggs starts flag football in a few weeks. We went to the park the other day. He is pretty fast...he just does not have alot in his tank. He needs to get out some more if he wants to hang for more then a quarter.
Anyway, work is work and I am trying to like it?? Actually it is going good and I will be taking on a couple of HUGE projects in the next few months. More to come on that. I don't see much travel coming up since we are conscious of our budget. Fine with me.
That's all I got in my head right now....late
